If you have a child who is a super duper picky eater and you're worried about getting some extra protein in their diet this might work for you. I mixed it with milk and gave it a good shaking before pouring it into a glass. It had a nice consistency and with some vigorous shaking I got all the lumps out. The first thing I noticed though was that the taste was really really sweet. I guess this is probably to try and appeal to kids but it seems a bit much. Overall though, a good texture and nice set of ingredients.
Always looking for ways to get my kids more protein and this is a win! They both loved it and think it tasted like chocolate milk. Clean ingredients and get a good amount of protein in.
With winter upon us, our toddler has been introduced to "hot chocolate" and sometimes wants to make it at home. All the instant hot chocolates out there have iffy ingredients. For me I have been using a premier protein shake, but I don't trust that high of a protein percentage for a 2.5 year old. This powder has been perfect! We mix it with some oat milk for a sweet warm winter treat. She doesn't usually finish the whole thing, but I'm happy to have a cleaner, healthier option.
Attention everyone. I cannot believe we found a high-quality chocolate protein drink that everybody in the house agrees taste good! The pregnant lady feels a boost when needing to get protein, the toddler sucks it right up . The teenager doesn’t complain . We have even mixed it with some other things that weren’t so wonderful to help get them down. We all love Walnut milk and it does taste great with walnut milk as well.(POWkids Chocolate Kids Protein Powder)
I had high hopes for this protein powder because I love that it's made with organic ingredients, grass-fed whey, and has no added sugar. The nutritional profile is solid, and I appreciate the added choline and calcium for brain and bone health. However, the sweetness was a deal-breaker for my kids. The chocolate flavor is definitely rich, but the combination of stevia and monk fruit makes it very sweet—almost too much. I tried mixing it with more milk than recommended, but the sweetness still overpowered the drink. My kids (ages 4 and 1) weren’t fans, though I can see this working better for older kids or those who prefer sweet drinks. On the plus side, it blends smoothly in a shaker bottle, no gritty texture or clumps, which is a big win compared to other protein powders I’ve tried. If your child enjoys sweeter drinks, this could be a great way to boost their protein intake. But if they’re sensitive to strong flavors, you may need to mix it with something like a smoothie to balance it out.
